學(xué)校概況

瑪格利特女王中學(xué)（瑪格利特女王學(xué)校）Queen Margaret's School 1901年成立，1949年搬遷到現(xiàn)址。主建筑是1758年建造的一個(gè)寬敞宏偉的鄉(xiāng)村建筑，占地65畝，學(xué)生來(lái)自世界各地。學(xué)校具備小型學(xué)校的很多優(yōu)勢(shì)，擁有一群友善、快樂(lè)、有活力的女孩子。學(xué)校現(xiàn)又增加了新設(shè)施，包括一個(gè)室內(nèi)游泳池（原有一個(gè)室外）、禮堂和劇院。
 
師生比例8：1恰倒好處。教學(xué)水平很高考試結(jié)果也很出色。同時(shí)學(xué)校還有一個(gè)24小時(shí)特別服務(wù)部門(mén)。學(xué)校一個(gè)顯著的特征是父母都可以參加學(xué)校各個(gè)領(lǐng)域的活動(dòng)，例如，一些組織，文化，還有實(shí)習(xí)經(jīng)歷。學(xué)校音樂(lè)、戲劇、美術(shù)都是強(qiáng)項(xiàng)。也有各種高標(biāo)準(zhǔn)的運(yùn)動(dòng)和游戲。
  
學(xué)生和入學(xué)

入校要求：學(xué)校自行舉辦考試。將考取六年級(jí)者，8門(mén)GCSE功課必須達(dá)到C等，其中至少3門(mén)要達(dá)到B等。無(wú)其他技能和宗教要求。

獎(jiǎng)學(xué)金：學(xué)校設(shè)大約10%獎(jiǎng)學(xué)金，獎(jiǎng)金從750英鎊到一半的學(xué)費(fèi)不等：6%學(xué)術(shù)獎(jiǎng)，1%美術(shù)獎(jiǎng)，3%音樂(lè)獎(jiǎng)，（包括 ）。

考試成績(jī)
GCSE：2003年，在57名五年級(jí)生中，98%學(xué)生在9門(mén)多功課中獲得C等及以上；2%在5-8門(mén)功課中獲得C等及以上。GCSE平均成績(jī)是66%

 
A-Level： 57名中，9% 學(xué)生4門(mén)功課全部通過(guò)，91%通過(guò)3門(mén)。
 
高考：2003年六年級(jí)生6%考取牛津和劍橋，6%選擇學(xué)習(xí)醫(yī)學(xué)，牙科以及獸醫(yī)學(xué)，11%學(xué)習(xí)自然科學(xué)和工程，4%學(xué)習(xí)法律，47%學(xué)習(xí)人文科學(xué)和社會(huì)科學(xué)，6%學(xué)習(xí)藝術(shù)和設(shè)計(jì)，20%學(xué)習(xí)其他職業(yè)學(xué)科，比如：教育，護(hù)理，會(huì)計(jì)，資產(chǎn)管理等等。

六年級(jí)：大部分六年級(jí)生在AS-Level階段要學(xué)習(xí)4門(mén)學(xué)科，A-Level階段學(xué)習(xí)3門(mén)學(xué)科；另外，所有學(xué)生都要學(xué)習(xí)一們技能學(xué)科。
職業(yè)：獲取工作經(jīng)驗(yàn)，也有烹飪課，1級(jí)、2級(jí)打字等等

語(yǔ)言
GCSE階段和A-Level階段學(xué)習(xí)法語(yǔ)，德語(yǔ)和西班牙語(yǔ)，60%以上的GCSE學(xué)生選擇2種或更多語(yǔ)言學(xué)科，與法國(guó)有定期交換學(xué)生。
　
藝術(shù)
音樂(lè)：60%以上學(xué)生要學(xué)習(xí)一門(mén)樂(lè)器，并要參加樂(lè)器考試，
戲劇和舞蹈：學(xué)校都有提供，戲劇可以在GCSE和A-level階段學(xué)習(xí)。大部分學(xué)生可以參加學(xué)校和其他活動(dòng)。
　
體育和活動(dòng)

學(xué)校生活

We are extremely proud of the Upper Sixth who have achieved such an outstanding set of results. All QM leavers will be able to take up places in Higher Education either this Autumn or after a GAP year and all the girls holding offers for Oxbridge or places on Medicine/Veterinary Medicine courses achieved their required grades. This is a reflection of their hard work and determination and also of the skill and dedication of their teachers. At Queen Margaret’s we encourage every girl to aim high and exceed her expectations – by achieving so many A and A* grades between them, our Sixth Form leavers have done just that.

This year’s record GCSE success reflects the academic ability and sustained hard work of our Year V girls and their teachers. These results will give the girls a superb platform on which to build as they enter the Sixth Form. Congratulations to all the girls on these superb results, which they have obtained alongside their sporting, cultural and charitable commitments.
